Could be a sign that it is time to replace the alternator. or you just have a loose belt.
check belt tension and then with car at idle - check the voltage from the alternator ( it should be 13+ volts ). have a friend step on the gas pedal ( or reach over and rev up the engine via the throttle linkage yourself ) and check voltage at the higher RPM, ( should be 13.8 to 14.27 volts ). if voltage is in the proper range - check the date on the battery to determine age,, and if it is in fact a older battery or no dates can be found or just to eliminate it as a possible weak link - have it tested at a battery shop,, they can charge and load test it for you for free... when batteries go bad they can pull down the voltage from the altenator and this could be the cause for the " low charge '' indicator light.

HI!!
Check Alternator Belt tension, battery terminals, ground and alternator connections, make sure they are tight and clean. If all seems OK, take vehicle to an AutoZone or similar auto parts store for a FREE charging system check. Your alternator or battery may be failing. Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Oil light on, low cool lant flashes, did oil change, flush radiator?? Now my engine runs hard and it sounds like it's idling hard. High idol and low idol ?? Help!

I would not drive it in case the engine died, the symptoms you describe are indicative of possible cylinder head issues.
Get a GOOD garage to visit or have them tow it into their premises to check your vehicle over.

Once I boost the battery it drives like it has the hiccups and it idles high and then a low idol to were it almost stalls

Have your charging system tested at ant=y good parts store like Autozone, Advance, etc... and have them also load test battery. They do both for FREE. I suspect one or both are your problem because your ignition system needs a certain amount of power to operate correctly and it sounds like a "low voltage" issue. Could be as simple as a bad cable...

Have a 1992 toyota corolla 3 speed auto, that shakes when stopped at a stop light, and when you take off it runs fine. changed plugs cap and rotor and still does it..

Check your engine idol. It could be that your idol speed is set to low. It should probably run at between 800 and 1000 RPM. If it is not then your idol is to low.

I need to know why my check gage light came on and now my battery gage is low and my truck won't stay idoled and it dies and will act like the battery is dead which will eventually kill my battery but then...

You need t have your charging system checked. Low voltage can affect the engines sensors that monitor engine performance. If the battery isn't being charged while you are driving, it will eventually be drained and the engine will die and yu will lose power steering and brakes. If this happens in traffic or at high speed, you could be in big trouble. Have your alternator checked or replaced. Wouldn't hurt to have the battery checked at the same time.

I have a idol problem with my car. please help

Idle problem like what? too low? too high? If it is too low it could be because your air filter is way too dirty or the throttle body has a bunch of carbon built up in it around the butterfly valve and gets no air at idle. If it is too high you have a vacuum leak. air sucking in from a cracked hose or intake manifold gasket. Check all your vacuum hoses and spray carb cleaner around the intake manifold gasket while the car is running.

Idol problems

the idle screw can be located by following the throttle cable to the carby body, you will find a quarter wheel which the cable hooks into at the bottom you'll see adjustment screw, this will adjust your idle speed.
