Question about 2002 GMC Envoy
Sounds like a loose belt. Check your tensioner and your belt thickness. Your tensioner could be stuck or bad which would cause your belt to be a little loose and it would slide across the pulleys instead of roll with them and cause a screech sound. Same with belt thickness only the tensioner would be as tight as it gets but the belt would be just thin enough that it wouldn't work properly. Hope that helps you.
