There is a smell like antifreeze when I used the fan, especialy for the wind shield

YOUR HEATER CORE IS LEAKING ITS IN SIDE AND YOUR FAN BLOWS THRU IT THATS WHY THE SMELL GETS STRONGER WITH THE FAN ON

This will happen when you have a moisture problem in you r vent system. This is usually caused by the heater core starting to leak. I need you to check the passenger side of the car, under the dash. feel around the floor for dampness( should be right under the plastic panel under the dash). Also do you smell a faint coolant odor? This may also happen if you have a seal leak around the blower housing under the hood, against the firewall. Check these and make sure. hope this helps

Its now dought you need a new heater core its leaking. Thats why you can smell antifreeze and also where the mist on the windsheild is coming from there must be a wet spot on the floor on the middle to the passangers side aswell good luck

Its the heater core you smell it on the inside because the fan is blowing it into the vehicle antifreeze is unuswal stuff it forms a mist and becomes air borne even a small leak you will smell with the fan running look for wet spots on the carpet under the core but the mist may be so fine and you wonn;t feel it but this your problem

your heater core is definitley leaking and your blower is pushing the vapor into the cabin. It will only get worse. You can minimize the smell by not running your heater or defroster, but you wont prevent the coolant from leaking and potentially getting worse. Sorry to say, the core will need pulled and repaired or replaced. Sometimes stop leak additives will solve the problem if its not too severe. I have never been a fan of them, its only a band aid in my view. also if u got pets afoid leeting they smell the antifreeze very toxic can kill pets easily. hope this helps. rate above 4* cheers

look for loose conectors in the blower assembly or trash inside the intake duct from outside especialy around the fan resistors.

The tubing under the dash that comes from the air condition may be stopped up...there may be leafs or trash stopping up hole along the wind shield (Miada convertable problem) if this is the problem flush out the tubes...or your wind shield may be leaking ('87 chevy problem) if it is the windshield try cleaning around and resealing...Mine stopped when I had to have new windshields put in...

biggest problem with the hondas is they have a bad cooling system, they tend to corrode the fins of the water pump due to the reaction between the full alloy block and the coolant. you should start there then the fan switch and radiator and thermostat.
