Question about 1999 Volkswagen Passat
What is happening, is your starting to get a leak in your heater cord or the hoses that attach to it. it's allowing a small amount of coolant to leak out. check the passenger side of the car in the front just under the dash to see if it is damp. your heater core is behind the plastic wall under the dash. the vent right there is taking that smell of the coolant through the vents.
