Spline that holds timing pullys to shaft are probably worn or pullys themselves maybe worn down allowing either top or bottom belt to "skip a tooth" putting it out of time a little more each time it "skips"

I used my intrepid to jumpstart another car 86 rx7 and when i looked up my intrepid was steaming really bad and after that it was mixing water in the oil i comp test 150 all 6 cyl no water nor oil in...

It sounds like it got hot idling to jump start the mazda rx7 and either warp or most likely cracked a head or heads and or a cracked block take off heads and have them inspected and fixed or replaced.

I need to jump my 1999 Dodge intrepid

The battery is located way down near the fender, because of this dodge made a positive and negative posts at the top near the strut tower to jump the car on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Remember positive TO positive

And negative TO negative

OR YOU WILL SHORT OUT THE BATTERY AND POSSIBLY THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

2004 Dodge Intrepid "jumps" occasionally when braking?

if your car has the 2.7 litre you have to change the oil every 5oookm or 3000 miles and use the exact grade as per the book.
the 2.7 has small oil galleries.
you have low oil pressure and or idle speed.check the rpm and it should be 700 unloaded at warm temp.if the iac controller is bad and there is low idle, really low rpm could trigger the oil light to come on and the transmission vacuum controls will be causing strange behavior.

2004 Dodge Intrepid 2.7 engine, and oil light keeps coming on.

Major issues with the 2.7L motor. design flaw causes oil to hang in the heads and "cook" creating sludge. Sludge builds until the passage to the timing chain is blocked starving the chain and causing near instant failure...this is a "rattling" or Roulette wheel sound. The 2.7L is an "interference" type engine. When the chain breaks or jumps, the cams stop in position thus leaving the valves wherever they may land. The pistons keep on moving though....and kiss whatever valves happen to be open. Bye Bye Motor. Using Synthetic oil EARLY and exclusively cures the sludge issue. Replacing the timing chain and components at interval is crucial...don't wait for it to break or jump!
