Question about Chevrolet C1500
Depending on the Yr/Model of the vehicle, when the Flasher is out, the light on the dashboard stays lit, but, when the key is turned to the OFF position, the indicator light goes OFF. The only time the Indicator Light and or the Turn Signals stay ON when key is OFF is when the turn signal switch is broken on older models, on newer models it is called the Multifunction Switch. This is possible since the Stop Lights (which circuit is hot at all times) are also controlled by Turn Signal Switch and when it breaks, it shorts out the Turn Signal circuit. Replacing the switch will solve your problem. Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.
