I need to get my 2006 trailblazer sunroof back on it's track?

You will need to remove the glass from your vehicle and then realign the track. Look at the sides of the track just under the glass and you will find two bolts on both sides of the sunroof glass. Remove the bolts and then lift the glass out. Once the glass is lifted out you will have the room you will need to realign the track.

do I need to line up dots or anything like that? There seems to be a piece loose on the one side that may be broke also

My sunroof on a 06 trailblazer wont shut. Appears that a plastic peace has got loose on the drivers side and is causing it to bind. The piece is kinda angled and is about 2 - 3 inches long. Has any one ran into this issue? Thanks in advance

I have a 04 Chevy trailblazer LT, the sunroof is stuck in the "up or vent" position. I can hear and feel the tracks go forward and back, but it won't go down. Any suggestions?

Replace the regulator. The cables or gear for the motor is bad. You have to remove all the side panels going to the head liner, then remove the headliner. To unbolt the regulator. and replace it.

Replaced air check valve and air pump 06 trailblazer 4.2 and error p2431 came back any help would be appreciated

The problem could be a connector, the wiring, or the sensor that is built into the solenoid valve mounted on the exhaust manifold.
The solenoid is a dealer part.
You may need a dealer mechanic with a scanner to track it down.

2006 honda ridgeline sunroof is stuck, will nor close tightly

Most common problem for sunroofs is debris like acorns, twigs, ect stuck in the track on the sunroof. Also, check for bent warped, or other out of place things causing the sunroof to reach it's limit causing it to shut down before closed completely. Remember, power windows, sunroofs, back glasses, nearly everything powered by an electric motor has a limit switch to protect if from damage.

My old mercedes w115 220 d (1974) manual sunroof is not closing. I don't know if there is any part of the sunroof missing beacuse the car was on a major reability program and I forget the pieces of the...

There's not a heck of a lot to the manual sunroof. I suspect some sort of debris in the track.
First off to remove a sunroof you open it all the way, looking down from on top of the car you will see the two chrome tracks on either side. They are healed on by two screws (there is a third adjustment screw on each side - it is obviously different and not holding the track down - don't mess with it -- or perhaps this is your problem...)
Remove the screws and the top to the tracks (they will lift right off) then slide the sunroof mostly closed and lift it out.
Now look into the tracks - back into the roof. Is there anything there that ought to not be there? Remove it - this can be challenging since it's narrow - a shot van and the biggest pice of tubing that will fit in there might do it for you.
Lube up the track with silicone lube (oil or grease will stick to dirt) clean the 4 feet of the sun roof. Notice the two rollers at the back these love the sunroof in place within it's open and push the back up when closed. With the roof out check that they move easily when you turn the handle.
Now back to the car - notice the two adjustment screws, they lift or lower the back of the track - perhaps you turned them when you were removing it the first time. In any event if they are up too high the roof won't fit (the wheels pushing out will try to push the sunroof door out of the car) You can see the small wedge next to the track - the wheels will roll up this wedge to close the back of the roof - and it needs to be in a reasonable position.
Don't force it you risk breaking the handle, the connecting mechanism or those wheels and where are you going to get a new one?
So now you can put the sunroof door back into place. Slide it back and forth - it should move easily. Now try to close it. It should close easily if not try adjusting the wedges down (this adjustment should not have changed but I am assuming you inadvertently changed these while trying to remove the sunroof door - it you're certain that you did not do that then it's something else).
Good Luck,

Sunroof is off track on my 2006 Honda Pilot. The interior portion, not the glass itself. Tried unsuccessfully to pull it back on track with a paint can opener. Would appreciate any suggestions.

they should have a special tool to pop it back into the posstion and get it back on to track, you might have to open the track further, its a suggestion not sure but worth a try

The sunroof on my 98 monte carlo z34 seems to be off its track and not closing or opening all the way. how can i fix this

Manual Solution for 1998 Monte Carlo z34:

Pull down interior design near button, it's all velcro underneath. The motor is silver and on the bottom of it, there is a white colored knob, that has a slot for a screwdriver. I believe to close it is counterclockwise. For this you will need VERY small screwdriver, and requires much force with a small one.

I poked a hole through the interior, and used a longer screwdriver. More torque and less pain on hands. Poking a hole sounds weird, but to be honest, it won't be noticed much.
