Honda accord tourer - water in boot/trunk

water could possibly be gaining access from window seals or wiper stems or ariel stem or it only needs a small crack in the chassis welding. can be real troublesome to find.

My 1990 Honda Accord trunk light will not turn off. It has drained the battery a few times. How can I fix this?

find the switch for the light and just tape it closed(switch position when light is off), disconnect it, or replace it. You could also rig up a toggle switch for just a couple bucks- just remember to turn it off again!

Trunk struts on a 1990 honda accord are off. How do I install them?

At each end of the struts there is a clip that you pull out slightly to unlock the socket on the other side.

Put the socket on the ball mounted on the trunk or the lid and then put the clip back in place. That locks it on the ball mount. Thats it!

How would i find the way into the fuel tank if i cant get though from the out side of my honda accord 1990.

Honda worked on our 01 accord and I noticed they were working on it from the top either under the seat or the under the panel in the trunk. I don't remember exactly what they were trying to accomplish at the time but perhaps this will help you find your way in.

The trunk is leaking rain into the interior

buy some foam spray from a can spray it around trunk seam bottom not trunk lid. close trunk to let it dry and shape foam. also check for any holes in trunk. remove all padding to look for wholes. spray foam into any holes found. this foam can also be trimmed after it dries and hardens.

How do i replace the license plate lights on my 1990 honda accord. i can't get the bulb out of the socket

You should have two license plate lights, right above the license plate. If you remove the two screws that hold the one you want to change in, the entire fixture will drop down(best to do this with the trunk open). Remove the metal clip plate that covers the bulb. The bulb SHOULD simply pull directly out.
Hope this helps you.

Water is coming into the passenger side of my 96 honda accord

Yes, it's the ac drain tube as you suspected. Look under the car (you'll have to raise it and support it so you can go under it) there is a small drain tube on the passenger side. You need to insert a small flexible wire to remove the blockage. This is a rather common problem.

Water is leaking into the trunk of my 2005 Honda accord whenever it rains

My 1990 Honda Accord does this too.
When I wash it or when it rains. If I open the trunk/deck lid water flows out of the right rear tail light housing into the trunk.

Solution: get some rubber gasket sealant and apply under the lower gasket around the rear window on each side at the corners. Allow for drying time. Close the trunk and try some water if this doesn't work you will likely have to replace the rear window seal.

Best of luck.

yes you can add water, however you have to remember that the boiling point of water is 212 degrees where as coolant mixture of 50/50 has a boiling point of 240 you have to get the vehicle to the shop and quickly. if you go too long the engine heads will either warp or crack and so will the block as well so find a shop and fast... please rate this
