Hi, take the drive belt off. take your hand and check idler pulley see if bearing is bad on it move it up and down and side to side see if has play in it , plus spin it to hear if that is your noise ,also do water pump same way. These are your most likely problems. But also check all pulley's to be on safe side. if i can help you anymore please feel free to re post.
Thanks dodge tec

What could be causing a loud squealing noise from front of motor

You have to buy or own a very inexpensive
stethoscope at parts store or online

No other way to listen to things like your
trying to find

You could remove the belt & spin pulleys by hand
& use the stethoscope

You may find that the bottom pulley or harmonic
balancer is worn & is moving the drive belt out of
location causing other pulleys to make noise

THE FRONT BEARING IN THE SUPERCAHRGER HAS GONE BAD. DO NOT DRIVE IT TIL' IT IS FIXED.
YOU WILL GET STRANDED AND MAYBE RUIN THE ENGINE IF PARTS GET SUCKED IN THE INTAKE.

if you have climate control the a/c comp. comes on
intermitently if the clutch is going bad thats a suspect also the idler pully bearing could be tired
or the ps pump could be binding.
one way to narrow the field is the next you shut it off
after driving a short time see if any of the is noticably
hotter than the others thats a place to start.
hope this helps good luck

Car is making loud noise & wont idle

your timing marks must be off for the car not to idle. the timing belt is too tight, that is where the noise is coming from. rule of thumb is you should be able to twist the timing belt to just under 90 degrees on the longest section after the tensioner has tensioned and nut on pully it tightened. tensioners usually tension more than they need to.

Loud high pitched noise from belt

When you have the belt off, spin that idler pulley and see if it turns easily or makes noise. Check if the bearing feels good and smooth or if it wobbles any. While you are at it, check the fan and fan clutch to see if they turn smoothly also. There should be some resistance to the fan clutch, and make sure the fan isn't rubbing on anything.

Replacing the idler pulley is usually done as a unit since the bearing is part of the pulley.

Knocking noise at idle

This is AC compressor rattle, don't worry about it unless it is really loud, in that case replace the compressor.
