Where is the camshaft position sensor?

Camshaft position sensor is located on the right hand side between the cylinder head and the air cleaner box assembly, as you see from the front of the car. It has two wire black connector attached to it.

What is problem, if my toyota corolla 1990 4AF, has an uncontrollable rpm? I think its in the carb, however i dont know how to fix it..

yes it could be the carb and can also be distributor timing or its sucking air in one of the breather pipes or the manifold gaskets isn't as good anymore again resulting in air suction so first check the pipes then spray some carb cleaner in the carb and hold the rpm at about 2500 or try revving it up to 4500 gradually and choke it on top of the carb with your cause it might be dirt stuck in carb

My 1993 Toyota Corolla stalls and will not stay running.

If changing the battery does not solve problem, or only solves it until the battery dies then have the alternator tested. I have noticed on several occasions with a couple of my vehicles that at times of very high moisture in the air they do not stay running, once the humidity goes down they are fine.

When at neutral gear my 1997 toyota corolla stop its engine, what is the probable cause?

This is common in Corollas. The cause is a sticky idle air control valve, which is controlled by the car's computer. It needs to be removed, and cleaned with throttle/carb cleaner. If not confident in doing this yourself, it will be inexpensive to have done.

I have Toyota corolla axio 2007 model 1.5 l car. The fuel cosumption seems to be very low and it is about 8.5 km /l. What should I do. Sujith

Clean the mass air flow sensor located just after the air filter...There are special cleaners but I think a home drycleaner should help but delicately applied ..I used a feather initially..Also some carburetoor cleaner and new spark plugs should help double that value of km/l

well you could try to get a vacuum gauge and see if your car reads what it supposed to and if you buy one it could tell you what it could be.

I have the starter loose but can not get it out. Do I need to remove something to get it out of the car. It is a 1997 toyota Corolla.

Below are the step by step instructions per Chilton Automotive Guide for 1997 Corolla:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly (with hose).
  3. Disconnect all the wiring from the starter terminals.
  4. Remove the starter mounting bolts. Remove the starter.
My guess is its the air cleaner assembly that's in your way. There's no mention of a cross brace or guard that should be in your way. Best of luck!
