Question about 2003 Renault 181

1 Answer

Jerking Clio Hi.We have a 2003 reanualt Clio 2. The car seems to lose power mid-driving then regains power again making for a really jerky ride at times. It seems that when it starts to lose power and you put your foot down ******* the accelarator its regains power again. Ive added fuel injector cleaner but this seens to help just for a short while. Please advise? Can it be the sparkplugs that need replacing? or is there something wrong with the injectors?

Sounds like the throttle potentiometer. its a box above the acc pedal which sends a signal to the ecu to let it know how far the pedal is pressed. unplu the connection and spray it with electrical cleaner. may need replacing

My 2003 chevy impala just loses power while driving, it seems like its choking for a while then regains power again and runs normal

have car checked for a plugged catalytic converter by a reputable technician. A clogged catalytic converter results in a loss of power. The catalytic converter is made of an aluminum oxide honeycomb coated with platinum and palladium. These components react to remove CO and HC's from the exhaust stream. A two-way catalytic converter works by oxidizing CO (carbon monoxide) and HC (hydrocarbons "unburned fuel") to CO2 (carbon dioxide) and water. A three-way catalytic converter also removes NOx (oxides of nitrogen) from the exhaust. NOx is formed at high cylinder temperatures. The EGR system is responsible for inhibiting NOx. Hi I'm female and have a toyota tazz 1999 model. The car started jerking as I drive, feels sluggish as well. Checked fuel filter but seems clean, no smoke, oil and water is fine(can it still be a gasket?)...

jerking can be from many things
1: brakes locked up. or bad.
2: engine jerks
3: transmission jerks.

sluggish, same,
find a shop any auto repair shop to tell you which of the 3 it is.
then post for help.

keep in mind, not one person here can drive your car. and see that.

I recently purchased a 2001 Mazda Millenia. It was a little jerky test driving it, but it was winter with snow and ice. Now it's spring, and it's still jerky. I took it out on the hwy doing about 70 mph...

Do you notice does the problem seem to worsen in rain or humid weather? Try checking the MAF sensor it may just need to cleaned it can cause problems like this. Be sure to use MAF cleaner nothing else. The sensor may also be bad but try cleaning it first, its cheap and only takes about ten minutes.

1993 subaru legacy front cv axles

First thing to have checked would be the front CV axles. If the rubber boots rip and allow the grease out it can damage the joints and they will make a clicking sound. Worn out axle joints can also bind and make it feel jerky. If they are making that loud of a noise it could become a safety issue, have them checked out soon.
