If too much fuel is being delivered, try checking fuel pressure regulator (also might want to take a look and make sure return line to fuel tank isn't restricted.)

Will not start replaced fuel pump fuel filter distribreter mod will run if starting fluid is sprayed in air intake seemes to have fuel pressure have blead fuel system still will not run 4.3 L v6 1992...

If you have replaced all the items listed correctly, the next item will be to check the fuel pressure regulator and injectors. if no injectors fires, even if you have fuel pressure, then the fuel will not go inside the cylinder. You're bypassing all of that when you spray the starting fluid. To check injectors, you need to listen to them while attempting to start the engine. I use an 8 inch 3/8 drive extension and place it on the body of the injector, and then put my ear to the other end of it. the injector makes a ticking noise when it fires. this noise will travel through the metal extension into your ear easily.

My 95 buick lesabre will not start , I have change to a new fuel pump and a new cam shaft sensor. The gas is getting to the fuel rail, I have spark on all six cylinders . If i spray gas in through the mass...

Thee are a couple of things left to check. One is to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and see how much pressure your getting and compare it to specs. It maybe getting fuel there but not enough pressure. To see if the injectors are being pulsed you wil need a set of noid lights. You will unplug an injector and plug in the noid light. It will flash everytime that injector is pulsed. If it never flashes your injector drivers on the ecu are bad.

Fuel injectors spraying to much gas

to be honest, with an 89, all you can do is replace the injector. how an injector works is there is a small amount of current that is run to a coil around a rod (if you are unaware, this produces magnetic fields). the magnetic field produced pulls up what is usually a small ball, allowing fuel to go through the tip of the injector nozzle. all you can do to fix this is to buy different injectors.

just a question..why do you think they are spraying too much fuel? because it may just be that you have excessive fuel pressure and your fuel pressure regulator is bad. hit me back.

1997 Chevy Cavalier is backfiring and sputtering sometimes on take off or acceleration. Any ideas what the problem is? New fuel regulator, all new injectors, done alot to this car.

Here is a list of some things that can cause it,
Emmissions system not functioning properly,
Faulty secondary ignition system
Fuel injection system in need of adjustment
Vaccum leak at fuel injectors, around intake manifold, or vaccum hoses
Clogged fuel filter
Weak fuel pump
To test for a vaccum leak, get a can of starting fluid, with the engine running, spray around the intake manifold, the vaccum hoses, connections and fittings, where ever you spray and the engine rev's up a little, you found a leak.

Car won't start

check backnnector on distributor assy. It's hard to find because is on the side just in the point nobody reach. Often it missconnect or broke. check, fix or re adjust as needed. check firing order of cables If not result.... 1.-unplug any spark cable and put a screwdriver inside it and place it in a safe place near a ground point. The object is try to see the spark jumping to ground. 1 or 2 cm will work for it. If you see spark, check fuel pump circuitry. uncap carburator and see if injectors spray gas when you try to engine. If you can see spark, change module inside the distributor cap.
if injector doesn't spray, check fuel pump, you must hear it for few seconds when you turn key to accs if you place your ear near thank. fuel pump work for few seconds but no spray on injectors: the same module above mentioned. if injector sprays and spark jump, the car must start

Cyl. 1 and 3 missfire

An injector can pulse without spraying fuel. They can get plugged or get build up on the nozzle and squirt fuel instead of spraying or not spray at all.. Your fuel rail is common rail, so your fuel line should go through a pressure regulator and then to a rail that dispenses the fuel equally. I have heard of cases where kia replaced the fuel rail to solve this problem. All the injectors will get the same amount of fuel pressure with this system, so if you have injector pulse and no missfires on #2 and #4, i would suspect clogged injectors. You can have an injector flush performed, which is probably not a bad ideal any way, to see if you can clean them up, or just replace the bad injectors. You can also inspect them visually to see if there is any debris on the nozzles. I wouldn't recomend that to an inexperienced person. Fuel can be very dangerous. I have head of techs removing the injector from the rail and running the car and watching the injector spray the fuel. Not recommended at all. All it takes is one spark or hot surface. Do a fuel injection clean, or buy some BG brand 44k fuel treatment and put in the tank first, the fill it up with gas. You can remove the injector and soak it in injector cleaner also to help free it up. If any of these don't help, time to take it in...they are also experiencing ECU problems..
