Starts but wont shift into drive no headlights no heater blower no turn signals

You been under the dash? In the steering column maybe?

Most vehicles won't shift out of park unless the brake pedal is pressed. That activates the brake switch and unlocks the transmission shift lever. Funny, that's under the dash too! Look for a dislodged connector on the steering column, one on the brake switch and hopefully you will find one or more connector issues. The heater blower is the odd one.

Clicking in dash and no hot air

Blower motor worn and weak, taking time to actually start due to worn out brushes in the blower motor. Change the blower motor. The clicking that you hear is actually the springs that provide tension on the brushes. Sounds like the brushes have fell out, leaving only the springs to provide the needed voltage. Springs rubbing the contacts will sound like a slow click click click at first, but will speed up as the motor shaft starts spinning faster.

My battery went dead and i replaced it and when i re-installed it the alarm went off and it wont start now

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.
the valet switch is by driver side kick panel look for small button may be stuck in wire harness to hide

I just bought a mercedes 420 sel 1986, can not get a hold of the seller is there a trick to start the car, we tried earlier and set off the alarm, tried to start again, but it wont start afraid of setting...

Hey ther, If have not found an answer try this.
On the pass side of the remove the floor mat/carpet under the carpet you will see a black panel, remove the panel and there you will see several modules the secutiry modules is closet to the center console on it you will see two connector large one at the to unplug it and a small one at the bottom unplug it this will turn off the alarm system.

To start the car you may need to put the car in neutral and back in park the sensor is may be going bad. try starting the car.

if you want to keep alarm system you will need to by a new module this should fix your problem.

92 Honda Accord Automatic Transmission When started in P it goes in reverse so P and R are both reverse. but now it won't go out of 1 2 or D3.

Hi there,

As your auto transmission is fully electronic, we can firstly rule out any Fault Codes in the transmission computer, by checking for any existing Diagnostic Trouble codes (DTC's).

I will need you to confirm for me, which of the Diagnostic connectors your vehicle has:

1) 16 Pin connector - found under the dash, above either driver or passenger knee.

OR

2) Double blade (male) connector (usally green) - this can be found in either under driver's side dash, passenger's side dash, under driver's seat, under front passenger's seat, under passenger's side carpet (or flap in carpet).

Please confirm which of these your vehicle has, and I will provide you with instructions on how to extract the transmission computer codes (if any).

You need to do this step, before suspecting mechanical failure.

Hear from you soon...

Hi there,

The Engine Check light is a signal that the Engine's computer has identified a problem somewhere.

As your engine is EFI, we can firstly rule out any Fault Codes in the engine computer, by checking for any existing Diagnostic Trouble codes (DTC's).
