Sounds like a fuse issue -- chech the fuses in the fuse box and replace any that are bad.

Are they the same problem or unrelated or are you stating that the dash is not letting you know that the door locks arent working? if it is the latter then it could be because the problem with the door locks are not electronically malfunctioning..
like the door latch is worn or the linking rod isnt connnected any longer..
has anyone ever tried to jimmy the locks...
possibly you need to have the acutator replaced and they ususally sell them as an assembly inclduing both the door latch and actuator.
In some instances a simple blown fuse will not indicate a malfunctioning part as well since the fuse is blown and no electricity is passing thru and there are no malfuntioning parts jsut lack of connection..
check the fuses first and foremost and proceed from there.. there may be nothing wrong with your dash but may be something wrong with a fuse or mechanical part of your lock system/

Power door locks won't work and the instrument pnnel lights won't turn on. I replaced blown fuse a 20mp one in position 14 I believe. worked ok till I tried to lock the doors, the fuse blew

Hello. Try looking at the black earth that goes from the drivers door and into the A frame which is covered in a rubber sheath. The wire can break after opening and shutting the door over several years and as it's normally the thicker wire is more prone to break. Also check the other wires visually for any chaffing and tugging on each wire. If more electrical parts start failing, air con blowers etc it will be an earth. Hope this helps

2004 dodge neon fuse problem.

The dome tight is actually a combo fuse/light. If that light is burned out; 1 the locks won't work, and 2 the odometer will flash "FUSE" and 3 the "DOOR" warning light will stay on - try replacing the bulb. If it stays on with all the doors closed, more then likely one of the switches that are built into each of the door latches is not making the correct contact to shut off the dome light/dash light. The correct fix is to replace the defective latch. The other option is to just cut the wires that feel the switch inside the door - then the car will think that door is always closed and the lights will not come on when you open that door.
