Question about 1996 Volvo 850
Hi...... I've had my 850 diesel for the last 2.5 years and it's never missed a beat !!- however over the last few weeks I've noticed that the engine drops onto tick over when driving as if there's no throttle signal. If I hold the throttle pedal in position it sometimes comes back and accelerates however the quickest solution is to take my foot off the pedal and re-apply the throttle. It's getting progressively worse to the point where the car is becoming undriveable. Could it be the throttle position sensor ?? Does a diesel even have such a thing ??
I have had all kinds of problems with Throttle modules (ETM), bucking, hesitating, speeding up! I almost died recently when the car refused to accelerate out of the way of a big semi. Paid dearly for repairs in the past (flash software, cleaning, replacement) only to have the symptoms re-appear! Volvo dealer service jerks! They said I would have to continue to pay for the problem to be fixed AGAIN! Could care less about us!
Well, well, well! I received a mailing in August 2008 notifying me of a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT that will solve all our problems. Go to the website below and SMILE! Justice is done!!! Some details below...
