Question about 2005 Volvo S40

Scratchy noise my name is gabriel. i live in south africa.idrive a volvos40 2.4i.my problem is that every time i turn right slowly as if to park my car at a mall my car makes a scratchy some what grinding noise. but while driving on the road it doesnt make that noise. its not the power stearing fluad because i have checked.please help

A few things it could be the wheel wrap which protects in side wheel well rubbing on wheel or dust plate which is on back side of wheel hub and spindle or rotor this things move and scrape things like rotor. also could be drive shaft how many miles. i have same car and work for volvo 10 years. get back to me hope i could help.

Before you could adjust the mixture, make sure that the spark plug gaps, ignition timing and valve clearance are all OK.
- Start the engine and bring it at operating temperature.
- Adjust the throttle stop screw to bring it at the stable rpm.
- Turn in the idle mixture screw while observing the engine speed till the engine starts to stall. At this point turn out the idle mixture screw and keep on opening slowly till the engine acquire the most stable rpm. Finally adjust the throttle stop screw to obtain the desired idle speed.
