Trace the top radiator hose back to the engine. You'll find a housing attached to hose. Remove housing and you'll find thermostat. To replace - new thermostat, gasket & coolant. The parts store you get your parts from usually have good diagrams and info free to share

Where is locotated the voltage regulator in 2004 Toyota Highlander. I want to replace the voltage regulator in my 2005 Toyota highlander and I don't know how I can locate it.

the voltage regulator on this along with most newer vehicles is located inside of the alternator. this is not replaceable as it is internal unless you get an alternator rebuild kit. if helpful please leave positive rating.

Did my 2005 highlander. You replace from the inside. On the inside of the rear hatch, the top center plastic molding gentle snaps off. You twist out the bulb holder and replace with one #921 bulb

it sounds like you will have to replace the serpentine belt and try autozone.com to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you
