Question about 1992 Jeep Cherokee Briarwood
This was bought for my 17 yr old daughter and she has not been able to drive it because we have had to replace the fuel pump and filter twice in the last two weeks. No one seems to know what is causing it to go bad. Once it is replaced it runs great and makes no sounds at all. Then after about a day or two the humming noise starts and it gets extremely loud and either won't start or it shuts itself off while you are driving it!! This has been to three different mechanics and no one can figure this out please help. Thanks
I have having the same problem with my 92 cherokee limited as "Boo in wa". Me and my father have replaced the fuel pump, filter, relays, and Crankshaft position sensor. Still no luck, if you have found a solution or do, please let me know. I will do the same.

If it were just the fuel pump, why no spark at the coil, cap, and plugs?
When I jumper across the starter relay (fuse box), I can hear the fuel pump whurring ... (motor running).
