Question about Chrysler PT Cruiser
First disconnect the battery. this will prevent any sparks or shorts. jack up the front of the car, and set jack stands (safety first, please) you will need a few basic tools ( ratchet and sockets, and open-box wrenches). Undo the wiring to the solenoid, and then you need to undo the bolts holding the starter. As you remove the starter, be careful, some cars have shims in front of the starter. if they are there, don''t loose them. they have to go in front of the new starter. remove the starter, and stick the new one in. this job will take about an hour for a beginner. hope this helps.
