Question about Chevrolet 1500

1 Answer

My 1997 Chevy C/K 1500, left rear blinker and brake light are out. It appears on the dash but it blinks twice as fast. I checked all the fuses and they are in good shape. I also changed the bulbs and it still wont work. The odd thing is when i unscrewed the blinker and took it out it worked great. But when i put it back in it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Check the bulb you replaced and make sure it's seated properly. Sometimes if crooked or fixture has some corrosion in it it will short across and act like bad lamp

Left rear turn signal and brake light not working. fuse is good, bulb is good. back-up lights work.

I have a 2007 Chevy Express with the same problem. Just happened. Brake and turn signal not working on left side. Fuses good, bulbs good (dual element lamp, turn signal and break are same element) running lights work (other element) Relay blinks fast and not getting voltage at light for blinker or brake. Is there something else in the circuit I need to check. Took it to an ASE mechanic and he couldn't or didn't want to fix it. THANKS Let you know if I fix it tomorrow.

Originally my passenger door on my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer EXT would not always unlock with the FOB. Was an intermittent problem. Then last friday my driver and passeenger doors would not lock or unlock...

fast blinking lights are a sign of a burned out light bulb. Door lock actuators wear out. Since all the actuators operate every time you lock or unlock the doors, it's not unusual for multiple actuators to go bad

Left and right rear brake lights are out. center brake light comes on. rear blinkers are out too. front blinkers blink fast like a blown bulb but they arent blown. fuses are good.

it sounds like you need to replace the turn signal switch ( also known as a multifunction switch). The brake lights also go through that switch; You will have to remove the cover from around the lower part of the steering column to gain access to the switch.Hope this helps. Please leave comment.

TURN SIGNAL BLINKS TO FAST RIGHT

The blinker usually blinks fast when a turn signal light is burnt or not contacting. Check the signal bulbs to see if they are contacting or in good condition. If that is not it. Try replacing the blinker under the dash.

Left rear tail lights/ blinker will not come on

Blinker too fast, the same side blinker light bulb on the front (or back) is burned. Check the fuses for the rear lights. You might have a light bulb filament stuck.
