Look in the trunk for a panel to remove if not then you will have to remove the tank from underneath to reach the wire harness for the pump. but you can also locate the relay for it and have access to these wires from there.

You will need to drop the tank to do anything with the fuel pump.

99 kia sephia fuel pump not turning on

You probably have had this fixed already. Using voltmeter check to be sure voltage is supplied to wiring at fuel pump(located under access under rear seat) If no voltage throught the wiring. Check hot to body ground anywhere. If voltage present you have a faulty ground. If no voltage again- try FUSE or track the wiring back to find a rub spot causing short. Taking for granted you checked pump before install to be sure it worked.

Wheres fuel pump

The fuel pump is mounted inside the fuel tank. The tank will have to be pulled down to access. Some models have an assess panel under the rear seat. To see if yours does, pull the rear seat bottom out.

For a xg 350 2002 car dont start, ihave no gas coming does this car have a reset for the fuel pomp. tthe car had a small impact in the front about 30 km

this car does not have a reset switch like a ford. if you know for sure that there is no fuel pumping in the fuel line then check the fuel pump fuse and relay underhood. there shouldnt be any wire in the front of the car that causes the fuel pump to stop working if the wires in front are damaged by a collision. fuel pump is in the tank but there should be an access hole under the back seat bottom cushion. the seat cushion can be a pain to get loose.

1995 dakota fuel pump relay. If the relay is bad,

If fuel pump relay is bad yes it will still get spark.
Sonds like you do have a fuel pump, or fuel pump relay problem, most likely the pump.

My 1998 Mazda 626 is not getting any power to the fuel pump. I currently have straight wires connected so that the car can run but that is only temporary. I want to fix it the right way.

On Many cars, there is an emergency fuel pump disconnect. It is usually located near the front passenger seat, between the seat & door jam. Make sure that it did not get turned off accidentally. Check your owners manual for the exact location of this cutoff switch. There is a 99% chance that this is your problem.

Not sure if its the same as a 2001, but I have a 2002 Accent. My son was driving it and it sputtered to a stop. It turns over but doesnt fire. I am thinking its the fuel pump. Do you think its the fuel...

Sounds like a fuel pump, maybe ignition coil, but more likely fuel pump.Check 1 or 2 plugs to see if you have spark since that's easy enough to at least verify.Pull the plug, plug the wire back on to the spark plug, hold the little plate of the spark end up against the engine block, and turn over real quick. If you don't see anything first time, try once or twice more.Try another plug.If they both spark...you have spark lol. That leaves fuel and air.Even with a serious air problem,it should start and is not likely to just quit.Fuel pump probably is difficult.I have a 1995 and it is under the back seat as a cap on top of the tank :( Pulling off the seat was easy. There is a lock ring on the cap/pump that was slightly rusty, enough so that I had to buy a used tank and a new pump.If you want more specific location of your fuel pump, call the dealer or a shop.Someone will usually give you free advice to attract future business.
Good luck! Greg

I have a 1999 chevy tahoe and just had the fuel pump replace and now the fuel gauge is not reading it only registers when the truck is off. Can you help or explain this problem.

I'm not sure how different the Tahoe is from the pickup, but here's a possible solution.
There are 2 electrical connections on top of the fuel pump/sending unit. One controls the pump itself and the other is for the sending unit. Check to ensure both are seated fully and have the retainer clips in.
If you follow the wiring harness from the top of the pump toward the frame rail, you should see a bolt holding down a single black wire. This is your frame ground wire. Make sure it's connected.

Fuel pump not getting power

First check the fuel pump relay the easiest fast way of doing it is turn your key forward and listen for a click. If you hear a click then you might have hooked something up wrong on the pump or the plug that plugs into the fuel pump on top of the tank is not seated all the way down.

(If you bought a rebuild kit and not the whole fuel pump assembly)

As for the fuel pump only two wires go to it a red one which is positive and a black one that is neg. And it's marked on the top of the pump.
