No, the fender liner is basically there to keep your engine from getting dirty. I haven't seen any other use for them.

Headlight Bulbs Replacement. Do we need to remove bumper?

No. The access to the headlight bulbs can be done by removing the inner fender liner. It can also be done
by removing an inner fender liner clip and then pulling back the inner fender liner. This will create an
opening throught where you can insert your hand into. The video below may help you accomplish the task. If it doesn't play here, you may follow the direct link:

The front driver side door was "stuck" wouldn't easily move past a certain point. So I "forced" it. I believe the front inner fender well liner is now cracked. 1. why would this happen literally all of...

More than likely the door was rubbing the fender, usually from an accident where the fender has been pushed or rolled towards the door edge. If you don't care about the finish of the vehicle, then locate through your contacts, some one with paint & body experience and they will know how to temporarily align the panels from not rubbing; until your ready to repair it correctly. Fender liners crack when in accidents.

Damaged plastic liner of wheel well rubs on tire when driving over bumps

Even if you popped the dent out, the liner may not fit back on tightly. They are usually held by plastic clips or plastic pins or even plastic screws that easily get distorted, or the hole they are held with gets enlarged from tearing. You could keep the liner up with a couple of machine screws drilled into strategic places....or, you could just remove the liner-it's not a safety issue-it just helps keep mud and dirt from building up in the wheel wells and fender corners. To remove it, first take the wheel off. Then you can see how it is held on Pull it off and throw it away.
If you pop the dent out and fender looks pretty good, and the liner appears it can be re-used with just a little help, all the better.
It;s up to you.

How to replace front fender liner. I need instructions

The bumper shouldn't be in the way. Usually the liner is attached only inside the wheel well. You may have to pull the tire off to make it easier. Plastic clips or pins usually hold the liner in place, or it may have screws. Go by the opposite side, if any part of your old liner is missing attachers or pieces.

How to replace the battery in a 2002 Dodge Intrepid

Hi there. The battery cell in this particular vehicle can be a little tricky to locate. You will first need to remove the right front tire. Next; Remove the right front inner fender liner. Once that is completed, you will expose the battery just to the inside of the right wheel fender liner. You can extract the battery at that point. Remember to remove the Neg- black post first, then, the Red+ positive post last.

How to take off the right fender off a Mitsubishi 3000gt

Removeal steps
1. Remove wheel arch liner, this is a two peice part front and back. both these need to be removed, there should be 8 screws to remove.
2. You should then have access to all fender screws. There are 10 screws to remove to allow removeal of fender. 4 under the bonnet holding the top of the fender. 2 for the front going to a bracket. 1 underneath the fender where the arch liner was. 2 under the main body of the car towards the front of the side skirts and a final one, near to the door triangle where the mirror is. The fender should then come away but there is a sealant to stop water getting in, make you you reseal when putting back on with 3M ATD, part no 8625 or similar.

My winshield water reservoir is leaking. how can i get to it behind the fender?

If it's behind the fender, you will need to remove the wheel and the fender liner if it has one. Usually, fendor liners are only held in place by plastic push rivets that are easily removed.

2007 air filter replacement

The headlight assembly is accessed from inside the fender well. There are two pop out plastic rivets and a small (4mm? head) body screw that secure the fender liner to the fender. Those need to be removed. Pull the fender liner back enough to work your arm into the fender. Locate the wiring to the headlight and grasp the plug. Rotate it to the left until the bulb is free of the reflector. Pull the lamp and wiring out from behind the fender liner. Remove the bad bulb. There is a release tab on the plug. Insert the new bulb into the plug. DO NOT touch the bulb glass. The oil from your skin can cause the bulb to explode when it gets hot. Hold the plug and work the bulb and wiring back to the original position. It is a little easier to look through the headlight lens as you work the bulb back into the reflector. Turn the plug to the right until it is properly seated. Replace the two pop out rivets and the body screw.

You should replace the headlights in pairs. I didn't and the right bulb went out in a couple more weeks when the weather was much worse. The right bulb was more of a pain to replace than the left, probably because I am right handed.

Hope this helps.
