Start by checking your coolant level...if that is ok
other possible causes are:
1. thermostat faulty
2. heater core clogged ( If you feel more heat when you rev the engine, this may be the cause or a restriction elsewhere)
3. radiator fan continuously on, easily checked by observing fan noise ( normally
the fan only needs to come on when the coolant temp reaches the middle)
4. blend door which moves from hot to cold air may not be functioning properly

Where is your coolant temp needle after driving for 15-20 minutes?

Hope this helps, please leave feedback and vote. Good Luck

You may have a thermostat that is stuck in the open position not allowing the engine tom warm up fast enough to please the computer. Depending on which engine you have, locate the thermostat housing and replace the thermostat.

You could also be a little low on coolant. Take off the radiator cap when the engine is cold and check the level.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

Getting very little heat fan is blowing hard temp is good think cold hot flap is not closing all the but dont know where to look

HEY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE, just put a peice of cardboard in front of the radiator, and watch the temp guage, then deal with the issue when the weather warms up. this will give you the heat you need now. you may have a bad thermostat now,but do this and deal with the issue when the weather warms, thank you for choosing fixya.com! and for those that do watch my solutions, i pay attention!

Why my heater in 2000 plymouth breeze only gives a little heat? Could it be a hose ? I know it's not the thermostat, the blowers ar working. I am wonding if theres some hoses that could be leaking?I don't...

it could be the cold air blend door or the thermostat is the engine temp up to the middle of the gauge or close to it if so then thermostat is ok if not then go ahead and replace it.

WHen we use the auto car starter, it blows cold air, and a lot of it. Its nearing the winter here in New England and I need to know how to set up the starter to blow warm air. Any ideas?

Start the vehcle and let it warm up then set all the controls to heater? Then turn off the car. Use the remote start to start the vehicle and check the controls are still set to heat mode.

Temperature Gauge Always On Cold

As long as your gauge is still moving up, there's no real problem. You have heat coming from the heater. It's only a problem if it's getting too hot. What's going on is that you don't let the vehicle run long enough, and it's so cold outside that the engine stays cold. It raises in temp when your stopped because there's no airflow through the radiator. The thermostat just heats up the engine block, and won't change the reading on the gauge. When this goes bad your car will overheat in just a few miles.
