I have a 2007 Ford f150 xlt ext cab. I am installing a ford oem remote start #2w7j-19g367-ba, and pats bypass 8l3z-19g365-ba. Having problems going into progarmming and getting to remote start. Can someone help me resolve this issue and make sure I have proper wiring?

Tried all that several different ways, and did not work. If I were to send some information would be able to tell me if the wiring diagram was right. I think it might have something to do with the door lock and unlock wires or key sense were has to be neg and cant get into programming to change.

First question is, is it a gold or bronze remote start? Bronze only has one button for start. Gold has 4 buttons start, lock, unlock and horn buttons.

Here is the site to go to for your wiring information http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com copy and paste this in another browser window.

Once you get to the site in the upper right side of the screen go to "tech specs" and click on it. On the next page under "select type" go to installation instructions (genuine ford accessories). The next box down "select description" go to Electronics. And the final box "Choose Category" this is where you need to know if it is gold or bronze remote start (refer to the top of my answer here). Now for a bronze you will select "Remote Start System- Truck" and for a Gold you will select "Remote Start/Vehicle Security System- Truck". Once you have all of this go to the bottom of the page and click on 2007 model year when the window pops up select open.

Now you can get detailed wiring info it tells you which wires to use with the remote start wires. Make sure you have all of the fuses in the right places in the module. Where you select 2007 model year at the bottom of the page there is also another one for programming instructions. For your truck you don't need to hook up a tach wire, but make sure you change the option to tachless mode. It tells you which options and which bank you need on or off (the little red light) on the page that has the fuse diagram....... follow these instructions.

NOW THE BYPASS MODULE.

You will need 2 keys for this, you can't fool the system with just one. Once everything is installed do this procedure.

Insert the first key and turn it to the run position, wait for the security light to go out. Once the light is out within 5 seconds insert the second key and turn it to the run position. Once the light is out again remove the key and within 5 seconds again hold down the start button on the remote start fob. The truck will start and your remote start is completely installed and working.

If you have any problems you can check out my tip in my profile or ask me any questions you have. I have installed well over a thousand of these remote starts. And if it works let me know I'd like to hear from you

If you're having trouble getting into programming mode try it with the door closed, just close the latch with a screwdriver. Not try it both with the interior light on. You have to hold the button and press the brake for 10 seconds sometimes longer. If that doesn't work try it with the light off, if this doesn't work check your wires at the module with your test light. Make sure your power and ground are good. Then when you touch the lock and unlock with your test light it should just lock and unlock without having to press any buttons. check that the dome light wire is working this is probably the most important one to get into programming mode. Also check the mercury switch that you installed onto the hood. It has to have a 30degree or larger angle from the hood in order for it to work properly. Hood has to be closed to program.

THE DRIVERS door needs to be open when going into program mode, turn key to run with engine off
hold down the programming button for 10 seconds and should sound horn letting you know it is in program mode. if this does not work try with the door closed

You can't drive off if it is hooked up properly. As soon as the brake it depressed it shuts off

Where is the pats override button located? specific under dash location. 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

There is no PATS override button. PATS is Passive Anti-Theft System. It is a transponder chip in the key, and a transceiver ring around the ignition lock cylinder. The Ring looks for the correct chip in a key in order to allow the vehicle to start. A bypass or override button in the vehicle completely advantage of having the chip system and would render is useless in entirety.

I put in a car starter in my 03 f150 the truck turns over but will not start. I put the tach wire on a white/pink on the pcm harness that did not work then i put it on a green/white on the coil this does...

Is this a crank no start issue ? If so, is the theft light in the cluster flashing ? No mention about the PATS bypass. One try is to put a functioning key in the ign ( in the off position is fine ) and try to remote start the truck. This would satisfy the PATS check, to know if the PATS bypass is programmed correctly, or if you do not have one, if everything else is installed correctly and you just need to add a PATS bypass module.

Im instaling a remote start alarm on my 1999 ford f 150 how do i bipass the anti theft and i do not want to carry 2 remotes around

The 2 Key fob part, is to get a remote start that also has the RKE ( Remote Keyless Entry ) function. The the RMST / RKE system is installed, the RMST fob would be able to operate the door locks ( you can put the factory RKE fobs in the drawer )

the PATS ( Passive AntiTheft System ) part is to get a PATS bypass module for the remote start. The remote start that you purchase needs to be able to activate this prior to starting the truck ( usually pulse / signal outputs, most mfgr of RMST have these ).

There are a few PATS bypass modules, I have only used the Ford branded one ( which I think is also made by CodeAlarm, not 100% sure ).

Secureilock error code 13 on 2007 ford expedition. I am having problems remote starting my expedition.

Securilock problem for your remote start? Check when you try to start it, if the security light is flashing fast it is probably the PATS (security system) bypass. To reprogram it you will need two keys. First insert the first one and turn it to the run position. When the security light shuts off insert the second key and turn it to run. Once the light has gone off the second time pull the key out and hit the start button on the remote start fob, this all has to be done in 10 seconds. The vehicle will start, shut it off and try it again. If it doesn't start look to see if the security light is flashing fast again if it is the bypass needs to be replaced. If the light isn't flashing fast and it still doesn't start it should be honking at you or flashing its lights, count these then look in your manual it will tell you what is wrong. If none of these work let me know and I will help you. You can also check out my profile I have a tip that is about remote starts.

Good Luck

My mother inlaw has a 2007 f150 with remote start problems everything comes on but the truck does not start.

Is the security light blinking fast when you hit the start button? It has a vehicke with a pad lock behind it. If so then the PATS bypass is probably no good and needs to be replaced. You can cycle the keys to check if that is the problem. First you will need both keys. Insert the first one and turn it to the on position, when the security light goes off install the second key and do the same thing within 5 seconds. When the security light goes off the second time remove the key and hit the start button on the remote fob. The vehicle should start. If it does, shut it down and try again. If this time it doesn't start and the security light is flashing quickly again it is the PATS (Passive Anti Theft System) bypass. You can get a new one installed at any Ford Dealer. If by chance that isn't the problem and it is honking at you count the honks and check inside your user manual, it will explain what these mean. If you have any more questions about this please post them I can help.

Car starts with remote car starter but will not start with the ignition key

When it will not start with the key, is this a crank no start issue ?

If you turn the key from off to run ( do not start ) does the theft light on the cluster go out ?

If not, try a different key. I am working from an assumption that the PATS key is not registering with the HEC for some reason, this is why the try another key. The remote start has a PATS bypass

Please post back with the answers to the questions, and the results of the 2nd key testing

Filled truck up with fuel and fuel guage stoped working

There is a TSB for this issue ( TSB 08-2-9 ).

The problem is high sulfur content fuel will cause a problem with the fuel level sending unit, and cause it to read incorrectly.

The 2 times I had this happen, I was not at my normal brand fuel ( had it happen with Shell fuel both times ).

I fueled at 1/2 tank with my normal brand, and then after another 1/2 tank fueled again, and the problem went away.

If you want, the TSB lists new revision fuel level senders, that you can drop the fuel tank, and replace your exiting one with to cure the problem.

The correct P/N depends on your truck cab & bed config, and options

I want to bypass my 99 ford f150 alarm system

If you are talking about the PATS system, no way to do it. There is no factory alarm from Ford, if it is a Ford OEM system, it was added at the dealer. The 97 & 98 has a factory alarm system, but this was deleted after the introduction of PATS in 1999.
