Question about 2001 Ford Escape
Sounds like you may have to replace your fuel filter is it origional or have you replaced it before ? if the fuel pump is screaming then there is usually a restriction in the line sometimes caused by dirty fuel filter , its also possible that the electric fuel pump is on its way out they will screem when they are ready to retire first replace fuel filter and monitor the sound if it comes back after replacing the filter then you will need to have a pump replaced .also check the level of fuel in your tank when you hear the noise sometimes the level of gas in the tank drops leaving the fuel pump unsubmerged in the fuel making it easier to hear the noise follow me . replace fuel filter and diagnose the sound from there thanks for using a fine web tool like fixya
