Some of those cars have a inline filter you never have to change check to see in a manual because some you do not want to take it off at all.

Heater in ford ka only blowing cold air

Hi if the car is not overheating then it will be the heater control unit, this is located just under the front windscreen when the bonnet is open look at the back and you will see 2 pipes going in and going back out of the bulkhead, these go all the time copy and paste this link into your browser

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Fiesta-MK5-heater-control-unit_W0QQitemZ170443080928QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item27af3304e0

Check the thermostat aswell, and ensure the fan is working on the radiator , most likely though will be that part. very common

Doesnt blow warm enough air new heatercore and blower fan. air flow seems restricted

Hi
if the car is not overheating then this is a heater control vale fault, very common on this car cost new is about £35 in the UK this part has another name which I cannot seem to remember at the moment but here a link to what one looks like, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Fiesta-KA-Puma-transit-NEW-HEATER-CONTROL-VALVE_W0QQitemZ160372185586QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2556ed59f2

This one is for a fiesta not taurus, but they do the same job. the part is located just in front of the window screen below the wiper arms has 2 pipes going in, one hot one cold, if both are cold then that the fault.

Regards

Dan
