Question about 2005 Dodge Neon
could be 3 things
The fluid for the auto transmission needs changing.
The slave cylinder either has air in the system and needs bleeding or is starting to fail, you can normally tell if you leve it in park with the brake off and see if the car creeps forward without any gas.
finally the torque converter this converts the power from the engine to drive in the auto boc, with these miles on the car it could be time for a new one. they are not cheap eaither so the other 2 options are worth looking at first.
P.S if the idle seems rough then the air mass sensor cold be to blame, they are cheap and often you can clean them, get back to me if you suspect it is the air mass or MAF sensor and I will tel you how to clean it.
