Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
I had the same prob this week on my 98. if your lucky start with the top of your four wheel crankcase. there is a valve right on top that has four vac lines that plug in may be bad or stopped up. my prob was in my case its self. it wouldn't go in at all or it would kick out when it did. so it has to come out if that's the case..i found the most common prob is a stretched Chane. the next one was my prob i was lucky there. there is a round fork that controls your low hi two wheel a four wheel points.it has three plastic guides on it. so replace and your good to go. i fixed mine my self it wasent that bad, but for them two probs you well have to remove and split the case to fine out.
good luck tom
