To replace a relay is simple. All you need is to locate the Relay you want to replace then pull it out with your hand then put in a new one the same Method as you pulled the old one. Good luck

I have 1994 s10 extended cab 4.3 t.b.i. that runs good for awhile then shuts off and wont start untill u wait a few minutes then will start and run for a while longer then same thing

check for a failing relay that is overheating and breaking the circuit
as it is difficult to pin point exactly which relay it is likely to be , I would get several replacement relays from the wreckers and when it stops replace a relay and keep on until it doesn't stop
I'm thinking that it could be a pump relay, ignition control module relay, ING relay
if you feel the relays immediately it stops you may have one that is hot to the touch and replace that one first

Replaced a bad cooling fan relay. Worked for a day then relay stuck the fan on.

probably bad relay... smack it to see if it'll stop

otherwise it's a wiring problem then if you ruled out the relay is working properly by testing the relay itself

Cooling fans not working relay is fine

Relays go bad, rarely. But it sounds like you already fixed this problem, now replace the bad relay ($25) and HVAC should work too?

2000 chev silverado stopped running

Then your problem is electrical, make a tool if you replaced the relay open the cover of that relay, there you will expose the mechanical contact of the relay stick it back in its socket trun the key on and make the relay make contact the fuelpump should go on.If it does the problem will reside in the ignition switch electrical,if it doesnt check the ECM bat fuse.should be 20 amps.

My 03 celica ac indicator light flashes continuously. I was told by the dealer that I have a bad ac relay inside the dash and the dash would have to be disassembled to have it replace. Since most relays...

Hello. You have posted a great question here, one that other Celica owners may also have. The solutions is as follows:

You have a very common issue.

More than likely, you have a bad AC magnet clutch relay.

Toyota is aware of a high failure rate from these relays, and has issued a technical sevice bulletin regarding this.

You need to replace the AC relay, with the updated relay.
The old relay part number is: 90987-02022.
The updated relay's Toyota part number is: 90987-02028

Contrary to what your dealer is telling you, the relay is in the relay box under the hood. Look for the 'AC MG Clutch relay'.

Replace the relay, and you problem will be cured.

Fuel Pump Relay Switch

Underneath your hood, behind the passenger side headlight, behind the core support, is a bank of 2-8 relays. One of those relays is the relay needed for your fuel pump. There will also be a fuel pump relay fuse located there. The relay designation should be on the cover of the relay compartment.

Radiator Fan relay

Locate the relay in the under hood relay center remove it and swap it with the A/C relay or a relay that looks the same. If the fan still doesn't come on, the fan is not working anymore. If it does come on, go to the parts store and replace the relay. You can use a jump wire to the hot side of the fan from the pos side of the battery to see if the fan comes on. Also run a jump ground. Disconnect the harness to the fan so you don't back feed the ECM. Just use a couple of flat female blade connectors and wires to jump to the battery to test fan. $600.00 is way too much to replace the fan. You can find a good replacement fan assy. at the local wrecking yard for cheap. They work out just fine.
