Looks like you have a bad Throwout Bearing. see if the clunking noise gets low when you press the clutch pedal. Good luck

Noise in engine compartment

I would remove the drive belts and see if the noise is still there,if not blame the tensioner pulley,if the noise is still there it's in the timing belt system, don't let it go if that's the case major engine damage could result.

Chevy Aveo grinding noise from accelerator when A/C is on

It will be the ac compressor clutch that slipping when after it has been activated/engaged. This happens when the engine is winding up the compressor clutch is not engaging strong enough and start slipping. However as the engine rpm stabilize on the ac compressor has caught up (same rpm) no slipping occur and no noise. Was the clutch mechanism replaced with the compressor replacement? (however it need to be checked/repaired).

Fiat punto s60 wont go into gear after bleeding brakes and clutch

Well it's sounds like to me that the grinding sound you hear is throwout bearing, and as far as no clutch, if you don't have no clutch pedal what I mean is it don't feel lime it used to that is your slave cylinder, it needs replaced, usually when they go out they just go, don't give no warning

I have an 1989 GMC Sierra K1500(4x4)5-speed. grinds when going...

It may be the transmission input shaft bushing or bearing, located in the rear of the engine crankshaft, in front of the clutch assembly. If the bushing or bearing is dry (needs to be greased), the input shaft will still try to turn with the engine rpm, even though the clutch pedal is depressed. Also, the clutch disc may not be fully releasing, which could possibly be corrected by adjusting the clutch pedal linkage. good luck

Clutch Noise

Can not seem to get the sound clip to work but from what you have said not only is it pretty obvious but also quite a common failure on Jeeps:

Thrust release bearing

These are part of a 3 in 1 clutch kit, as it is a box out job you may aswel do the clutch at the same time, also check the rear main oil seal (a cheap part that also may aswel be changed while gearbox is off)

Kind regards

Lloyd

ok every time you open the clutch resevoir you have to bleed the slave ..next hold down the clutch to the floor open the bleeder screw 10 mm bolt and then close it and pick the pedal up off the floor if your clutch is not right the pressure plate is failing most likely on mitstu stuff ...bleed first ..

To change gears, I need to fully press down on my clutch pedal to stop a grinding noise on my hyundai accent 2001Can I adjust the clutch cable,

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

In a manual 2001 Hyundai Accent, the clutch cable could be adjusted. The adjustment point is on the cable 'pad' where it enters the firewall in the engine compartment.

To adjust, the slack or free play must be decreased. This is done by turning the adjusting nut clockwise. Check back by pressing on the clutch pedal to your preference.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
