Well it depends on what brand you use and i don't think anything can cause the Thermostat to fail except the end of its life.

Change your thermostat, flush your cooling system while your at it, make sure you bleed the air out of the system when you refill.

Blower fan runs stronger in 2008 Toyota 4Runner than in my 2006 4Runner.

It's probably just in the design between the two year models, check the cabin air filter behind the glove box these sometimes get clogged up and reduce fan air volume.

98 4 runner MAF problem. Was replaced 1 year ago with after market MAF. Check engine light would come on every 3 months. They would clean it and clear code. Now it only lasts 2 weeks. Took it to Toyota -...

Make sure that there are no leaks, on your duct hose..where the MAF is located..because if you are getting too much air..the MAF, will try to adjust to it, and it will throw your injectors out of wack, and then you will have a code...stating that you are running too rich, or lean, and then your plugs will foul out, because of too much gas, or not enough...and then it will trickle down to your O2's a big chain reaction when it comes down to the MAF sensor...but check your Duct....

My 4runner wont start. it clicks once but wont crank or turnover. battery is new and starter was replaced less than a year ago.

You will need a meter or a test light to check the starter. You will have a big wire cable going from the battery to the starter that always has 12 volts positve at it. The smaller wire will have 12 positive when the ignition key is turned to "start." If you have both of these at the starter, your starter is bad.

How do you bleed coolant system on a 2002 4runner v6 after changing thermostat? system is air locked and thermostat will not open.

Once you are done removing the old coolant refill the system along with the overflow tank. Start the engine with the cap off and continue filling while the engine warms up and the thermostat opens this should remove bleed out most of the air. Once the thermostat is open rev the engine a bit and this should remove any remaining air.

Its odd that a leaking rear seal would do that ... only way i can see it is if it managed to leak out all your rear end fluid. however then you would have alot more noise and problems...
Thanks for the complement , they take after my wife ;)
