Question about 1990 Chevrolet K1500
The ALCL connector is located at the base of the dash usually near the steering column. You can use a paper clip to connect the A and B terminal togeather. The check engine light will flash or blink the codes. A example is one flash then a pause then two quick flashes is a code 12 which means no reference pulses to the ECM. The engine is not running. You pull the codes with the ignition switch on but the engine should not be running. Write back with the codes and I can tell you what they mean.
