If it's bad, it will either be leaking or making unusual sounds.

Mg zs 180 power steering noise

Check the fluid level of the steering pump, if level is ok, then pump may be faulty. The rack and pinion may be worn. I have seen a dirty install of new components cause this as dirt is allowed to enter the rack, clogging up passages.

I have a 1996 plymouth breeze and every time i turn the steering wheel it makes a really bad creek noise. I checked the power steering fluid and its fine but it still makes the noise

Check the fan belt for the pump if it is worn out or the tension is incorrect. Other than that inspect for leaks from the hoses and from the steering rack underneath. It may be bad rings or seals.

Power steering fluid pours out when i crank the car

When you crank the engine, it rotates the pulley on the power steering pump. As the pump spins the fluid passes through the pump, rack and pinion and the high and low pressure lines. The high pressure lines are usually the culprit. The high pressure line can be identified as a metal line going into a rubber hose off of the power steering pump. Have someone crank the engine as you trace the leak. Be sure to wear safety equipment, like safety glasses and gloves to protect yourself from any squirting fluid.

1992 Honda accord, whining noise, near belts when car is on.

It is most likely your power steering pump. Of the three items that have belts on that side of the engine, the power steering is on the top, then the alternator right underneath, and then the AC compressor is way down on the bottom (if you have AC). Make sure you have enough power steering fluid in the reservoir. If you need to fill, make sure it's approved for use in Honda engines. If you think the noise is coming from under the black plastic that is right on the side of the engine, you need to take it in to get looked at ASAP. That could be a bad water pump or belt tensioner and if one of those breaks your engine will get trashed.

Inatallation 92 honda accord power steering pump

Hey, here's the procedure, disable air bag, if equipped w/ one, disconnect the pump return hose from the reservoir and place the end in a large container. Plug the port in the reservoir. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel lock to lock several times, until fluid stops running from the hose. Turn off engine immediately. Re-attach hose. Disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses at the pump. Remove the drive belt. Remove the mounting bolts/nuts and remove pump.
Install in reverse order. Adjust belt tension, fill ps reservoir and bleed any air from the system (to bleed air from system, fill reservoir, start engine and allow to idle, turn wheel from side to side all the way several times. Shut off, fill if necessary.
. Tighten bolts to : Thru bolt 30 ft lbs., mounting nut 16 ft lbs.
