Question about 2000 Dodge Stratus

Engine sputters when giving gas, has a hard time accelerating

2000 stratus, I thought it might have been bad gas or dirty fuel injectors, put in supreme and some carb and fuel cleaner. Still has problem. When running down the freeway it runs great, but try and give it gas and it sputters

Have the cam sensor and/or crankshaft sensor checked. They could be going bad.

My Ford Focus SE sputters when I accelerate. I replaced my spark plugs recently( and not with cheap ones). At times, it doesn't want to accelerate fast then starts to sputter. Any ideas on what it...

what does "not with cheap ones" mean? what did you put in.? Did it run like this before the plugs were changed? If you put some Bosch Platinum plugs in from Autozone take them out and put in the plugs that FORD calls for. You may have created your own problem. are your plug wires good?

My 98 Toyota Camry V6 LE has 120,000 miles on it and runs great. However, lately I have noticed it sputters ever so slightly on the highway. right about 60 MPH. If coasting or accelerating it is fine. ...

Being that you have a 1998 Toyota Camry, these cars are fuel injected and shouldnt need the gas pedal depressed to feed fuel to your engine. It's possible you may have a dirty fuel pump or dirty injectors. Here are some possible steps (cheapest in $) so follow these in order to spend less money.
- Run some Lucas Fuel System Cleaner (green cap bottle), do two treatments of that in your gas tank and see if that makes a difference. Dirty lines and clogged injectors are caused by cheap gas and or constantly running on Empty thus allowing fuel pump to pick up sediment from bottom of gas tank.
- Sputtering could also be worn spark plugs (too big of a gap) and or faulty spark plug wires or both.
-Timing chain issues usually occur if you hear a constant vibration near the top of the engine.
-Transmission issues would be having trouble putting the car in certain gears, or the transmission stick does not sit in gear properly (slippage).

Just some suggestions that may help with your problem.

As i put my foot on the acc, in all 5 gears, sometimes it judgers like a kangaroo, like its running out of gas

OK number of possibilities here- Im gonna give you the most common ones-

a dirty fuel filter can cause vehicle sputter by blocking the flow of gas from the pump to the engine

a dirty air filter restricts air flow causeing the MAF (mass airflow censor) to report abnormal readings to the ecm (computer) causing the ecm to adjust fuel mix improperly resulting in stutter

bad plugs, wires, or coil - if the engine cant achieve proper spark it will hesitate.

Sounds like you need a tune up- Id check your fuel filter first and go from there, buy plugs before you buy wires, and wires before you buy coils-

I have a '93 nissan pathfinder and whenever I try to accelerate or if my RPMs get lower than 2000 it starts sputtering, it is also idling low and sputtering then as well. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

You need your idle speed adjusted, or you have bad gas, or you have dirty fuel injectors. I would put some injector cleaner in the fuel tank. Go fill the car up. Then if it doesn't improve by the end of that tankfull, I'd take it in for a tune-up.

My 2005 dodge stratus sedan just today, the engine

A fuel pressure test will tell you if the pump is performing as it should, the first step would be to scan the computer to see what the code or codes are. Has the vehicle had a tune up recently if ever?
