Question about 1995 Buick Park Avenue

1 Answer

The steps please to remove the heater blower motor on a 1995 Park Ave. The check engine light comes on readily when driving or idling. The numerical external temperature/heater temperature setting somethime flash. The bower quits blowing but will randomily restart blowing heat on its own. Occasionally cool air will come out instead of heated air. Sometimes the heater will not come on and blow warm air at all. Sometimes the blower pulsates on strongly for a few minutes then backs off. The temp gauge paramiters start at 100. The reading generally is at just under 200. Could the thermostat need to be replaced? Where is it located? An autoparts store sold me a heater blower motor saying that was probably the problem.

Check the actuator motors on the inside on the heater box to see if they are working. They are small motors with rods mounted on the outside of the heater under the dash. This motor moves the arms that direct the heat to where you want it.
