I have a 2000 dodge durango..that wont shift properly the rpm's get way above what they should be with no Advancing through the gears..i had a code of p1756..of the solenoid being above or under 15-20 psi..trans fluid looks normal smells ok not burnt..Also when it does go through the gears like its suppose to cursing at highway speed..the trans seems to slip out of gear with the rpm's reaching well above 4grand if i pull over put the truck in park then pull it back into drive and take off sometimes this works and the truck drives good but not all the time..i also can smell a sweet smell of Antifreeze through the heater vents when the trucks running Any Ideas would be a great help!!

2000 durango running rough at idle and higher rpms, no codes, transmission shifting out on high side, 1st gear? 5.9L R/T package

No dash lights at all? Try replacing your speed sensor on your rear differential. Its a very small sensor on the top of the diff case. They are very cheap to replace so you wont be out much money if this solution doesnt work.

How many rpm should a automatic 2001 dodge durango shift gears at.

There is no set shift point on any vehicle

If you hold the gas down longer or further
the shifts come later

Only the torque converter clutch lock-up
comes on at about 42 MPH, under even throttle
in high gear

P0121 code in a 2000 dodge durango, will he TPS make the ransmission shift spuratically.

Yes..... The TPS can cause this!!! Another sign of a failing TPS is for the rpm's to fluctuate up and down by 100-300 as you drive down the interstate at a steady speed on a level surface.

2004 Durango dies and shifts weird

I will try to help..ihave a 2000 dodge durango with the 4.7 v8..My trans started shifting funny and the rpm's would go up to 2000+rpm when i was driving, which means i was getting really crappy gas mileage at 40mph..took it to shop, engine light on,put it on machine to diagnose..got a generic p0700 code plus a couple others..code basically says tranny is fn up..
Try this a cheap fix first that worked for me..on the transmission, driver side there are two sensors..input/output transmission speed sensors..to be exact..they send info to computer to regulate shift points in trans..upshift and downshift..replace them both although one may be the culprit..cost at the dealer here in Delaware was $40.72 for one..there is one bolt(8mm)and one electrical connection to each..time to replace both about 15minutes you don't even have to jack up truck but you will have to get underneath.

Hope this helps and good luck..if you change them and find the tranny shifting properly..cycling the on and off switch will eventually turn off the engine light..just drive it normally i mean..go here shut it off..get back in start it up and go..it will go out..good luck

I have a transmission code PO732, PO734, and PO733 on my 2002 Dodge Durango. What do these codes mean?

Those three codes point to shift solenoid and/or clutch problems according to the Dodge Service Manual

Find someone with a Chrysler scanner and monitor the trans speed sensors, preferably the input one, make sure there is a rpm readings on both when you drive the vehicle, if ok, do a 2nd gear clutch test, if failed, internal clutch failure, if ok, replace the trans solenoid pack, it has an internal failure

All the sudden my 1999 dodge durango wont shift into reverse?

YES SOUNDS LIKE IT IS THE SOLENOID NOT SHIFTING INTO REVERSE OR TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NOT SENDING SIGNAL TO VALVE BODY SOLENOID
