Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
I am not in this for the money. I had a similar experience on my 1998 Ranger 4.0 L 4 x 2. The factory alarm was activating as soon as I connected the battery. I was able to get through the problem by leaving the drivers door open and holding the alarm valet switch under the dash depressed while someone connected the battery. Feel free to reject this answer if it does not work for you.
