Well it sounds like your car is starting out in 4th gear which is overdrive,thats quite the load on the engine.knock sensor is what it says its a sensor.it is designed to sense knock on heavy accel..it is suppose to ****** your timing to stop knock. your mechanic is on the right track to say it is poss. the transmission.
