You should first make absolutely certain that it is in fact the source of the leak.
This can be accomplished using a black light reactive dye which is available at any well stocked autoparts store and a blacklight. The dye is added to your transmission fluid and then later you shine the black light to be able to pinpoint the source of the leak.
