Yes. Depending on the Coach company there may have been an inadvertent error. The lighter is a simple positive/negative connection. Even if the leads are reversed the lighter will still work. If overloaded then the fuse will blow. To check to see if the polarity has been reversed: use a test light to determine the polarity. The center down inside of the lighter should be the positive.
