I have been finding it harder and harder to engage all gears while depressing the clutch pedal. When putting it into reverse it grinds. When I put it into first at the lights it feels like its trying to pull slightly. without releasing the clutch pedal. Is there any adjustment that I can make to engage the clutch more from the pedal? Any help would be greatly apprciated
Check your clutch fluid level, sometimes a seperate reservoir (drivers side on firewall), some clutch systems take fluid from the brake system (check brake fluid). If thats ok then the clutch slave may be failing.
If the clutch fluid is low refill it and check for leaks (or just wait till the symptom comes back). If it's happens often then theres a leak in the line or the slave somewhere.
On some makes and models there is an ajustment rod on the slave sealender check that

Hi JCHARBONNEAU, I have the exact same problem. I know you posted this over four years ago, but would you mind sharing how you fixed it? Thanks!! -Saul
When I push the gas harder, it stops. It feels like its skipping between gears only at 1.2-1.3 RPM.
.. my car mazda 323 lost its acceleration..its sounds just whirl when i step harder on the pedal..it hardly moves on inclined road..what should i do?
we just put a clutch in a 2005 elantra gt and now it will not go into reverse and in make a rattling sound when the clutch pedal is up
I have to let the clutch pedal out almost all the way before it engages. Is there a way to fix this? Should I bleed the slave cylinder? Is there an adjustment that I can do to the cable or anything to fix his problem? It is rally ******* a hill to do it without stalling or burning the clutch up
A new clutch shudders severely on engagement in low or reverse. The pedal releases just off the floor.
