Question about 2002 Chevrolet Impala
When i ask people who own impalas, have they had good luck with it they say had to replace coolant low sensor recently and thats it, thumbs up to chevy part prices are half of what toyota, honda, nissan are.

I had the same problem this winter. The head gaskets were blown, took the block apart and replaced all the gaskets. Cost about 300 - 400 in parts and took one full day to finish with 3 men who aren't particularly experts but who aren't rookies to say the least.

Replace the low coolant sensor right side if radiator. When you replaced the radiator
they may have installed the old sensor.
I had the same problem.

actually if you go to ford they dont sell the float or sensor as and 1 piece deal, you have to buy a brand new expansion tank, (i had the same problem)

Your problem is either a bad sensor or it could possible be low in the reservoir. Check the coolant sensor first. it is located on the radiator just below the radiator cap.

Put more anti-freeze in the radiator, your heater should start working, but there is most likely a leak, otherwise you wouldn't have had the warning light come on anyhow.
