95 saturn gas on the spark plugs

It is normal for them to show gas-continued cranking of the engine keeps putting more gas in the cylinders.
Oil is getting in there from worn engine parts-piston rings or worn valve guides or valve stem seals. If enough oil gets on the plug, it will inhibit sparking- known as "oil fouling". Oil fouled plugs can be cleaned and reused. The near-prohibitive cost of repairing the worn engine parts with an engine rebuild may make you want to remove the plugs and clean them as often as necessary to keep them from misfiring. However, if it is just worn valve stem seals on those two cylinders, a shop could replace the seals without having to take the cylinder head off. The cost for that job would be some less. You might want an estimate on that. The seals are a rubber composite and quite cheap. A little tricky, but it can be done without pulling the head off.
Now that you have cleaned those two plugs and put them all back in, the gas will have evaporated. So if it does not want to start, you need to check for spark to verify the ignition system is working. The easiest way and to avoid a shock is to buy a cheap spark tester, pull off a plug wire from a plug and hook to tester. The tester is then clipped to a metal bracket or bolt as a ground. Then have someone crank the engine over, while you watch the tester for a spark-a strong blue spark, not yellow or orange, will verify ignition system is good. If no spark exists, test all cylinders. One or two with no spark could be a bad coil on the coil pack. But if no spark on any, the ignition system will have to be diagnosed. Good luck./

Multible misfire on 1997 saturn sl 1.9

You should have a trouble code or codes for the cylinder that is not producing power.
Once you know which cylinder, you need three things to make power.
Spark, fuel, and compression. One of the three components is lacking, such as a faulty injector or mechanical problem.

You've already eliminated the spark plug & wireset, distributor cap & rotor.
Sounds like your car needs a tune-up, specifically, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, and/of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

Components checked/replaced during a tune-up are:
air filter
motor oil
motor oil filter
breather filter
fuel filter(s)
fuel strainer
PCV valve
EGR valve
spark plugs
spark plug wires
ECM or distributor cap & rotor
cabin air filter
transmission oil filter
transmission oil
engine coolant
check all vacuum hoses and lines

Troubleshooting the no-start condition - from the 1990 Mitsu Mighty Max Repair Manual:

2 Inspect Battery Cable -- Corroded, Broken, Shorted or Poorly Connected Battery Cable.
3 Inspect Distributor Cap -- Distributor Cap Cracked or Burned.

I'll be honest, it sounds like the transmitter in the key isnt reading. A key remake without the factory transmitter will start the car, but only keep it running for a few seconds before cutting power to the motor. your electronics will still run....This may be too obvious, but honestly, thats what it sounds like.

Changed the spark plugs and the old ones were covered in oil

i'm guessing that your car is a 4-cylinder. this is common for inline 4-cylinder engines. since the spark plug holes usually go through the valve cover, the valve cover gasket will leak and collect in the spark plug holes. to fix this you will have to replace the valve cover gasket.

I doubt if it is the pistons or PVC valve. It is either a fuel or a spark problem. First check the spark and make sure it is good and strong, if you have a strong spark the problem has to be fuel flow related, maybe the fuel pump or the injectors.

New spark plugs gone out

If the odor is not heavy gasoline, then they appear to be oil fouled. The cheap fix is to buy at any auto parts store oil burning plugs or sleeves, these will keep the spark plugs slightly further out of the cylinder, out of the oils way, and should provide a reasonable resolution.

Check the PCV valve and hose, if they clog they will cause oil to enter engien cylinders. keep me posted
