2005-2009 Saab 9-7X Supercede:This bulletin is being revised to add model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 06-08-44-015A (Section 08 - Body and Accessories). Some portable audio equipment may be susceptible to certain types of electronic noise present in the vehicle's 12V power outlet.
Here are two ways to eliminate this type of interference:
- If the audio device is capable of being self-powered (battery), use it that way instead of plugging it into the vehicle's power outlet. - Have the customer purchase a Ground Loop Isolator, such as *Radio Shack Catalog #270-054. This device plugs in between the radio and the customer's audio device. It is packed with one included Y-Adapter. If purchasing the *Radio Shack product, you will require an additional Y-Adapter (Catalog #274-369). This device should be installed between the audio player and the AUX input of the vehicle radio. These catalog numbers are stocked nationally at *Radio Shack Retail Stores in the U.S. and are currently available. Other similar products are available through other electronics or car stereo retailers defined as Ground Loop Isolators. Parts Information

Probably the driver door speaker is going out (yes the "click" noise is "played" through the speaker). Seems common on these cars and was my problem. Turn all your music to that one speaker using the radio controls and see if it plays music. All the chimes and blinker noises come out of that speaker.

I have a 2002 chevy surburban and it makes a whining noise.

the noise happens running down the road or parked? Is the car a four wheel drive? The alteanator can go bad and whine, the wheel bearings can go bad and whine, windows not fitting right can make a whine The altenator will stop whining if it's unplugged, if this fixes it the battery and the altenater need tested and a bad battery can make the altenator whine and it still be OK. Don't run the engine with the battery disconnected as this can blow alot of expensive stuff and the altenator.

Alternator makes a loud whining noise tht can also be heard through the car's stereo speakers.

It sounds like a condenser in your alternator that works like an isolation transformer in stereo equipment to stop a ground loop between two components. Its allowing a frequency to just pass thru without stopping it at the source.

I have a loud whining noise coming from my ac compressor. i have a 98 cadillac deville and it makes the whining noise even if the ac is off. it makes that noise the whole time the car is running

The A/C compressor constantly turns because the pulley is connected into the serpentine system. The whining noise is pretty indicative of a low charge in the A/C system. I would start by having your A/C pressure checked and charged if needed.

1999 Suburban 4WD, Noise from the transfer case?

Your problem is similiar to mine . the web-site has been helpful. $2000.00 sounds way to much for repair on that vehicle with such high mileage. I went to a dismantler and bought a used transfer case for under $350.00. Did the labor myself with a little help. It's not too difficult if you have a some diy experience or ability. As your working on it stay with the web-site for install hints or go to autozone.com for repair diagrams.
Good luck have a good day.
