Mazda Tribute 1800 and 2002 model. Wanted to change spark plugs and saw that they were completely level with water (all 4 plugs). No water in the oil? How do I fix it? Where does it come from?

I am wondering if you have a rad hose that is leaking. Check and see if the thermostat area is leaking where it comes out of the engine. I have seen this happen. Not sure but is the water pump leaking. Just ideas.

My 1998 chevy lumina won't start right away and

The cooling system shouldn't be losing much coolant.

If you're putting in coolant regularly
If you're seeing slick oil in the coolant
If you're hearing noise in the engine while driving

You may have a crack in your engine block and your engine isn't being lubricated properly anymore. This will cause noise and leaks, make a motor run really rough and cause rough starting.

I suggest you bring your vehicle in for a coolant system pressure test and a chassis leak check. This should be a free service from any auto shop that wants your money for repairs.

Spark plugs usually degrade your performance slowly and don't make noise while doing it unless in extreme cases.

Good luck!

My 1990 k1500 chevy 4 by four my truck the gauge for tempeture in my dash dont work anymore i know the engine overheating sometimes i see prestone on the ground leeking from under the radiator but the...

If the Check Engine light is coming on the computer is storing a code to let you know what the problem is. Have your computer scanned and you will probably find out what the problem is. The temperature gauge cannot work properly if the cooling system is leaking. The sending unit has to be in the coolant to work. If the coolant is low, the sending unit will not be in the coolant. If the coolant is leaking from around the radiator there has to be a radiator, radiator cap, or radiator hose leak.

It,s quite possibly the thermostat neck. Simple fix, keep the coolant level in check until you can get it to a mechanic on Monday.

I have a coolant leak.2001 alero 4cy 2.4

If you had the engine replaced and have the same leak, it may be be somewhere else. You can rent a tool from most parts stores that pressurizes the cooling system. If you get that tool, top off the coolant and follow instructions to pressurize that system, you may be able to see where it's leaking. While it's under pressure, take a flashlight or shop light and look in all the main areas. (hose connections, radiator, water pump, ect)
