Hello my solution is to have your cooling system flushed and thermostat replaced and your antifreeze tested for ability.

Almost unable to turn steering wheel.Heat smell coming from around Alternator belt but belt runnig fine and tension good. When turning wheel after 5 minutes engine running the ESP ABS and Alternator lights...

engine RPM must be near 800 not 400.
for all accessories to work , alternator, and P/S and A/C

so RPM is first.
next is belts must not slip.

the engine is running too slow. that is called bad idle controls
the PCM controls idle at all times perfectly
so its lost control and that is causes by 50 reasons.
get it serviced, is what you do.
or learn to fix cars. if you didnt notice low RPM then you need to learn that first.,

low rpm can be cause by
1: never getting a tuneup ever?
2: bad spark. weak or worse dead plugs.
3: bad fuelling, (too lean, or to rich misfiring)
4:bad engine, (50 reason) but can be vacuum leaks or ISC valve stuck closed, or EGR valve stuck open.

next time ALT lamp comes on , use your right foot to raise rpm to 800 or more, id bet the alt light goes out, and the P./S pump wakes up.

No heat

you may have a air lock in your cabin heater, or cabin heater is clogged. first try to bleed air in system by raising the front of car. le *** idle and try to bleed system with bleeding screw on radiator or where ever it is. if this wont help you need a new cabin heater. it is really common problem on older cars.

I have an 03 venture 3.4 the problem im having is heating

the air flow does not have any thing to do with the thermostat
make sure you had the right cabin air filter and put in the right dirrection
the air flow is control by three devices calls mode door actuators, if this goes bad then you may not have enough air flow to a certain area

Will not defrost , interior is humid(has heat), but when car shuts off interior windows freeze and must scrap ice off inside glass to see. problem is accumulative....more we drive the worse it gets

Could a symptom of 3 or more problems: (1) Sounds like you have got the cabin air intake set to "recirculate" air from within the cabin. Once the car is warmed up in cold weather you need to move the cabin air intake control so that it draws air in from outside the vehicle. Having the air intake set to "recirculate" with the windows closed means that the occupants' breath causes the windows to mist up - this gets worse the longer the car is driven, and this is exactly the problem you're experiencing. (2) If, however, the air intake is actually set correctly, then the air vents would appear to be blocked, either with debris such as leaves, or snow or ice (this would have the same effect as having the heating controls set to recirculate cabin air. (3) There is a possibility that the cabin air filter (if one is fitted) is blocked - replacement or removal should solve the problem.

Can a bad water pump cause other things to not work properly? like the heat? and will it over heat?

Yes That is exaxtly what will happen, If the water pump is not pumping the antifreeze throught the system then not enough hot water will get to the heater core to give you heat inside the cabin and also not enough hot water will get to the radiator to get cooled off thus the overheating. Hope this helps.

2003 corolla heater temperature varies

check your in cabin air filter located behing the glove compartment. see your owner's manual for directions.
When this filter gets clogged air flow is restricted. You can blow the filter out with compressed air or replace. make sure you put in right side up.
