If the water is not too dark, there is nothing wrong with the car. It is quite normal for water to come out of the car exhaust as this shows that the compression of the engine is still very intact and there is not fault with the engine.
The water coming out is then black because of the carbon molecules that are being combusted or used up during the running of the engine.
In summary, your engine bringing out black water is only a sign to show that the engine is still in very good shape.
Hope this solution helped you? Please comment if you need more information and thank you for using

Hi i hav read about water in oli & i hav 2E Tazz & i have my car for 4 year's & every time when i start my car there come black water out of the exhausts & that is for 4 years now what can be the prob

on initial start up of an engine , water and water vapor coming from an exhaust pipe is normal-- black water is just carbon or soot in the water
it is condensation formed during the combustion process in a cold engine
--very noticeable on cold mornings as spots of water and steam
as the motor warms up , the hotter combustion temperatures and hot exhaust system reduces visible steam to a point where it is not noticeable and the water has boiled off
as to water in the oil--- normal sump oil is light brown when new to dark chocolate to black as it gets old
if there is water in the sump oil the color is normally a grey color and has a condition like curdled milk
to add further for your pre start checks --- the coolant should be a bright green or red --depending on the anti-boil/freeze in use--- but if you have an automatic with a faulty oil cooler in the radiator tank, the coolant color goes to a pink.

What is the oily water coming out the exhaust when starting up

if it was just on start up the water is condensation that has gathered in exhaust from sitting the oily black is condensation mixing with the carbon and residue in exhaust system this is a normal condition -------but if the vehicle emits a steady flume of white smoke or steam all day when driving then will need to check for possible head gasket problem

Car started smoking heavy fuel smell coming from exhaust and idles rough

White smoke is water in the cylinders/exhaust. (bad head gasket) White with a bluish color is oil. Black smoke is to much fuel. Which do you have.

Why is there loads of white smoke coming out off my exhaust bad an I think oil two ???

the main problem caused by white smoke is either steam which is head gasket leaking water into cylinders /and will also have condensation or water out of the rear end exhaust ,or if running ok and no loss of water in radiator and starts ok then could be a mix of fuel .but if you are loosing water then its the first problem.
As if it was oil burning then its black smoke you should have not white.

Black smoke and water come out from the exhaust

have you just came out from the car wash... if on normal driving or idle, water is a byproduct of engine combustion, the black smoke may indicate loose or broken piston rings..

My vauxall vectra when I accelerate smoke comes out the exost and there is no lift

what cc is the engine. what color is the smoke.... gray is water and normal. white over water in the exhaust usually means you been parking on a hill with the back of the the car facing the top of the hill. it water logs the cat in the exhaust. takes a long time to get the water out so you need a long run to do this. black smoke head problems could be the egr or the head gasket....

97 f250 5.8L starts to run rough and puffs out thick black smoke. It comes and goes. Any ideas?

Exhaust problems. Black smoke=exhaust, blue smoke=oil, white smoke=water.

I have a 1994 Gmc Sonoma that overheats and i dont know why. Today, i started it up and it runs perfect. My temp. gauge doesnt move and i replaced the thermostat about a week ago. Also when i parked it...

could have a blown head gasket or cracked head or worse case scenario, a cracked block letting oil into the combustion chamber and out the exhaust. if it is letting coolant into the oil then pull the dipstick and there should be a milky white look to it where the oil tried to mix with the coolant. but its normal to have water alone drip from the drain hole in the exhaust from condesation. for every gallon of fuel your vehicle uses, it produces about a gallon of water thru the exhaust

Black ( water like ) substance comes out of exhaust.

That's actually normal the result oc complete combustion is (H20)water. The blackish cold is just a little carbon from exhaust pipes. As long as everything else is normal its absolutely normal. Good luck if I fixed ya give me FIX_YA comment
