Hello a great place to start would be check and make sure under the engine compartment all your fan belts are on if not you have found your problem if all is good the next step is to check your power steering fluid level if low or empty you now have found your fault you will have to refill the power steering pump and observe where the leak is coming from under the front tire area it will be obvious. Now if all is good i have listed your looking at a steering rack replacement if this is the case you will need to see a steering specialist for the fact your going to need a steering alignment after replace in your steering rack. I hope my solutions were helpful.

Why do I have Intermittant power steering failiure on my vehicle?

If the car is cold while this happens and you have a rack and pinion steering the seals are bad.
You can try some Lucas brand power steering additive for that available at auto parts stores..

Saab 900 convertible 1997, brake light failiure displays, brakes are ok.

Indicator suggests that one of your brake lights in the back is out or failing. With car running have someone step on the brake pedal on/off while you stand at the back of the car watching brake lights.

Twice in December while going very slow my wife had brake pedal go to floor on our 2003 Honda odyssey. She was able to steer out of trouble. Took to our mechanic and they could find nothing worng. I drove...

Very hard to give definate answer, intermitant failiures are rare on a hydroulic brake system , brake pedal pressure is created by brake fluid moving to the wheels in a leak free route, for the pedal to drop MUST mean a loss of pressure in this route, your problem could indicate a brake master cylinder or brake servo due to its intermitant nature, close to impossible to diagnose when problem is no actually happening at time of of luck

Hello, my car has recently failed its MOT on the offside (drivers) ball joint and was wondering if you could please help me. I've heard bad things about the garage i am using and i am therefore doubtfull...

Ball joints can have wear without producing any noise. Even slight wear will be classed as an MOT failiure because ball joints are a critical component. The only way to check if the work has been done is to inspect the car afterwards. A new ball joint should stand out because it will be spotlessly clean. If you turn the steering fully to the right the ball joints may be visible or they may be obscured by the wheels. It is much easier to see them when the car is on a ramp. If you have not had the work done yet you could ask another garage or tyre fitter to check the ball joint for you. It is advisable to have your tracking checked after changing a ball joint. Some tyre companies will check the tracking for free and charge only if they have to adjust the tracking. Hope this helps.
