Ok what you want to do is take out your battery bring it to an autozone theyll put a load on it and tell you if you have a bad cell in your battery, and have to replace it if its ok its the starter dragging and need a new starter

    then its your starter

  • derek martin Jul 08, 2008

the starter drag is the starter itself,i need more info about the truck,i seen the complaint you put in about the 14.99 and went to try to solve your problem and I dont know how many post you posted but got the information about your truck from you last post and it didnt have the information your giving me now,but any way,is there a check engine light on and if I understand this right its stalling when you come to a stop,I would say check your egr valve this is a common problem with stalling at idle speeds if its ok its the throttle position sensor,I wanted to ask you if someone else try to help you with this problem because you seem upset about it and I couldnt find any other post about it

Need to change the ignition switch

Remove panel under steering wheel. Put key in cylinder and turn back to accessory position. Looking under lower part of steering column locate a small pin under the key cylinder. While depressing the pin turn the key backwards and pull the entire cylinder with key out of column. Good luck.
