You shouldn't have to pay anything at all. The warranty information should be posted on the battery. They usually are warranteed for at least 3 years. They'll test the battery and if it's under warranty they should replace it no charge.

Car backed in to mine headlights truned off insurance. Says it was not do to the accidentthey worked be fore he hit me 04 Volkswagen tourage

Get a letter from your dealer or mechanic telling the insurance company that the headlights are indeed result of the accident. Otherwise, you're going to be stuck with whatever it costs.
Consider, too, your deductible. It may turn out that the cost to fix is lower than the deductible, and you will end up paying anyway.

Door locks keep locking unlocking on their own. do not have keyless entry - purchased car used.

Even though you did not buy it new, it may have come with a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. So get the VIN and call a dealer. They can tell you if it is under warranty, if this issue is covered, and if it came new with keyless entry option. Just because there is no remote does not mean it did not have one when it was new.

Also the dealer could tell you if this is a common problem which they can fix in a few minutes for a few bucks. Paying a dealer service department for one half hour at a hundred bucks an hour is cheaper in the long run than paying someone who has no clue 40 bucks an hour for a whole day.

I have an '05 Accord and I think your best bet would be to contact a Honda dealer!! I would not mess with it myself for fear that everything would go SOUTH!!!! I am sure they would give you the code. Honda dealers are very cooperative people. They want their customers to be satisfied!!!

If it isn't covered by warrantee, why would you be at a dealer?

If the dealer won't make the repair ,when you want to pay them,
you will have to learn to do your own work

I learned that at 17
I have been to a dealer 1 time in 48 years,
only because it was snowing out & cold

I would think that if your vehicle has under the warranty miles coverage, that they should honor this. The electrical harness in your vehicle unless chewed by a varment, should be covered since you have not messed with the harness. The manufacturer is the one that put the harness together and installed it in your vehicle. Do not just lay down and let them walk on you.

If the battery was dead for more that 36 hours, or if you had the battery out of the car for more than 36 hours, you will have to have it towed to a dealer and have the ECU anti-theaft system reset. It may be less than 36 hours. Maybe it's 12 hours. Something like that. Call the dealer and ask about it. They'll be gald to fill you in.
