I have gas spewing under my hood on my 2005 cavalier, the fumes are bad inside the car an when the hood is lifted you can see the gas pouring all over, what could this be? an what does this normally cost to...

sounds like u either have a loose hose or a broken hose
look for hose going from gas tank to engine
check for any breaks or loose connections
if you find nothing than check carb for any leaks
if broken hose u can replace it for around $2.00 to $10.00
depending on how much hose and clamps u need
if it's not the hose then it could be carb-check bottom of carb and sides for any gas leaking out
do all this with motor turned off
once u find problem-start engine and see if u have any other leaks

1996 olds 98. the blower motor is stuck on defrost and floor.all the buttons light up when pressed. it does change from hot/cold.

Hello hippy3369: My name is Roger and I will help. If the controls appear to be working and the air is fixed on the floor and out the defrost vent. Your problem most likely is under the hood of the car. Open the hood.Look fr a vacumn hose from the intake manifold and the fire wall. This hose should be around 5/16 of an inch. It wil run from the engine to a vacumn tank . Look in the center of the firewal just on the passenger side of the brake booster. The hose is prone to deteriation and will break causing a vacumn leak. This leak is the source of vacumn to the A/C controls. Replace the hose and you should be back to staying cool. The control head could also be the problem. But the most likely is the hose under the hood. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer as this way I know it was useful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

1995 Jetta: vacumn hoses missing causing car to miss...

A missing vacuum line will not cause a car to misfire, it will run rough because of un-metered air entering the intake system. A misfire could be from bad spark plugs and wires. A malfunctioning ignition system, a bad fuel injector or fuel pressure charging component. An end result for not correcting a misfire problem is a damaged catalytic converter. From the factory it should come with a vacuum routing label usually on top of the radiator carrier or hood locking system. It will tell you specific location for the vacuum lines.

1995 DODGE RAM 2500 4WD ENGAGEMENT PROBLEM!!!

You have vacumn lines the run to your transfer case and then to the vacumn motor on the front axle. you need to check the lines and connections. If vacumn is working fine, then motor on front axle is bad.

95 cavalier changed EGR vacuum sensor and EGR valve still get code 32 EGR failure what can i do?

Check for vacuum leaks. Use a can of GumOut to spray around vacuum hoses, while the motor is running, if the idle increases when sprayed on or around a certain hose, check that hose for leaks.

Heater only works on defrost

If it is a vacumn controlled system there will be a vacumn leak somewhere in the supply to the controls for the mode selector..the defrost position is a default setting in case of loss of vacumn. so it can still be driven in winter ...Check all vacumn connections and inspect hoses for damage ..Good luck and hope this was helpfull

1995 Grand Prix idling high

A verry large Vacumn leak .. check for a hose off somewhere..particularily the PCV hose..also were the O rings present or missaligned on the Injectors?? also the gaskets between the lower and upper Intake manifolds could cause this if they were not installed in the proper position.. If you have a scan tool Check Idle air controll motor...Under data stream IAC will read 0 counts this will confirm a vacumn leak

Motor mount on 95 Cavalier

Depends on which one you are replacing? If you are replacing the upper one on the belt end of the engine, yes it's on the passenger side and it is fairly easy to change. You need to jack up the engine with a floor jack and a woodblock to change it.

I'm replacing the Power Steering Pressure Hose on my 1995 Chevy

If it disconnected where the metal meets the rubber you dont have to replace it. Cut it straight where it broke, and shove it bakc inside. expect some oil leaking, and tie it down wit a hose-tie (just like a cable tie made of metal, with a small screw)
